Man has made his mind truth's measure,
the brain his bastion of reason and,
oh malleable fickle thought, his yardstick
for justice. He has: Taken the God-given power of understanding from
it's home in his heart
and placed it in texts to teach out of
context. Lost real love to a myriad of lesser emotions and addictions labeled as
love, and... Dismissed his freedom in lieu of
security at the hands of others, not realizing that there is no real security
without taking personal responsibility for all that transpires in one's life.
He has given up his control of his every
moment and placed it in the hands of officials, priests
and doctors that stand on the card-tower of
the officials, priests and doctors whom came before them.
All to duck his responsibility to live a life
as our most-admired prophets have...
to be mere men but to throw out old maps,
and choose the path of God.
