un-prophetable
|
Today i saw your face in all the life you made, father,
but i will not be your prophet.
i see the way the everyman dwells on the lines transcribed of prophets past,
but fail to see you in their everydays.
i will not be another to divert their eyes from you.
Again today you beseech me to share my truth in the empty call of religious acceptance,
but i will not be your prophet.
i hold you near in all you form but know that misguided sleepers would tear it all down if they only knew the truth is in plain view.
i will not give up your secrets for fear
of casting you out of your own eden.
there is no prophet in it.
